Work Party & Village Potluck    Save the Date!  Saturday, August 4

There will be a work party and picnic on August 4 at 9a. The main goal of the work party will be to make the individual property water hookups accessible for adding State mandated water meters. This will reduce Association costs to install the meters.  We will also work on some of the Mailbox stands.  Bring a Shovel.
Potluck picnic begins in Village II at approximately 1p.  Bring chairs to sit on and food to share. Last names A-L bring main courses, M-Z bring salads, sides, deserts.  BYOB.

Spilled Garbage
We have a problem with garbage containers being spilled over by elk, raccoons, etc. Murrey’s garbage service is Thursday morning & often times owners are leaving containers out on the weekend which results in garbage being scattered. Murrey’s does not pick up the scattered garbage; it is up to the owners to retrieve. We have no services here for street clean-up and your fellow property owners would appreciate efforts to secure all garbage containers as well as reclaiming all your garbage if a spill occurs. Thanks!

June Board meeting

The CVHA Board will meet next Wednesday, June 13, 6:00, at the home of president, Jeff Barth, 16804 Rainbow Lane. One of main agenda items for the evening will be a discussion regarding the cutting down of trees that might damage the village’s water lines. All Crystal Village homeowners are invited and encouraged to attend.

As a reminder, notice was given in the annual letter that went out to all Homeowners with their dues statements in December 2011 of the critical need to protect our water system. For your convenience we are reposting this information below. “Water Mainline Protection – The Board has approved the removal of all trees threatening our water distribution lines. The individual lot water meter / shut off valve boxes are located at the property line. The water lines are located in the utility right of way between the property line and the county roads. We will remove trees during work parties and ask PSE to remove any trees near power lines.” Trees that are directly threatening the CVHA water system have recently been marked with orange paint. Letters to affected homeowners will go out after the June 13 CVHA board meeting. Later this summer, trees that are affecting PSE power lines will be marked for topping or removal.

Please read this important information from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department about the recent homcide near Greenwater: I am attempting to identify the driver of a car who picked up a homicide suspect along SR410 near Forest Road 70. This occurred between 2200 hours on Tuesday March 27th and 0030 hours on Wednesday March 28. The vehicle stopped and gave him a ride to the Greenwater General Store where he called 911. The suspect is a white male in his late 20’s early 30’s, 5’9” tall and 165 lbs. He was wearing a tan Carhartt jacket, blue jeans, and a dark base ball cap. Increased Hwy 410 cell coverage

All our SR 410 communities understand the safety emergency response need and are in support for getting reliable cell signal along the SR 410 corridor. So far, the cell signal petition campaign has collected over 3,100 support responses.

As representatives of your community, please forward this email to anyone who can attend the March 19th Monday 7:30pm Fire Commissioners public meeting at 59705 SR 410 E Community Center / Fire Station.

Key individuals are planning to come to the 3/19 Fire Commissioners meeting such as Dan Roach, Councilman, Katie Gillespie, Pierce County Hazard Mitigation Emergency Management, Chris Hurst, 31st District Representative and Crystal Resort management staff.

I’m working along with other volunteers helping PCFD #26 on the Cell Signal Campaign and organizing proposal content that will be presented at a future date to one or more wireless providers. We need strong community participation at the 3/19 Monday 7:30 pm Fire Commissioners SR 410 community center meeting.

Thank you,

Wendy
