New Pierce County Code for short term rentals

In September 2016, Pierce County implemented new regulations for short term rentals. Short term rentals are defined as any property rental of less than 30 days. This was aimed primarily at properties being rented through AirBNB, VRBO, etc.

These regulations can be found in the Pierce County Code, Chapter 18A.37.040B

The CVHA Board believes that the best course of action with a homeowner who has an issue with another homeowner involving short term rentals, is to talk directly with that homeowner. They can then discuss their concerns and resolve the issue between themselves. As a final resort, homeowners can then contact Pierce County directly to lodge a complaint. CVHA has no authority to regulate any of these rentals but is willing to facilitate homeowners in order to resolve their differences.
